Facebook = Fakebook!

I was a very late comer to Facebook. I opened an account in 2008, and closed it in early 2011. It became a very strange unreal world, of  "like" this and "poke" that. It also became very addictive. Facebook is the "class A" of all the social network sites. Facebook is a place where people hide behind their computer screens and just basically, well, spy on others. It fills the days of the bitter, jealous, hateful few out there, mainly a pastime for the unemployed.

People who are not on Facebook seem to stop existing outside the "Fakebook" world. Which for me was no bad thing, as I found it was mainly a place for the lonely, egotistical, racist, paranoid and, well to put it bluntly, the perverts and the crazies!

Facebook may of started off quite innocently. It may of been fun to begin with....for a while. Since then "Fakebook" has now been taken over by the government, in an attempt to "Control the masses", or at least to spy on your every move.

Recently here in England after the "riots". Police used Facebook and other social media, to gather information. A number of people have subsequently been arrested and charged with "inciting riots" via their Facebook status. So don't ever think a privacy box you check on Facebook actually means anything. The authorities have an "access all areas" pass!

In the wake of the riots the government held a meeting with Facebook, Twitter and Blackberry. (I would of loved to of been a fly on a wall in that meeting!) The Prime Minister, David Cameron said, the police may need more power to curb the use of these social networks. (another point to the police state). He also said that they would look at limiting the use of such sites, during any future disorder. (.......and another point to the police state!!)

The government, I am sure, have always and will continue to monitor these sites. I can guarantee it is not just criminality they are looking for. The politically awake will be on their list too. As well as any one they deem to be a criminal. Look out for the "thought police". Sure they're not on your friend list???
