I lived in Tottenham for 23 years. Growing up in North London in the early 70's was not easy. In the early 70's there was a lot of racism.
My Mother and Father were not native to this country. They were encouraged by the British Propaganda at the time. They were told that the "roads were paved with gold" and there were plenty of jobs. What they were not told was that the jobs they would be expected to take were the menial jobs that the Native English(white) did not want to take. For example jobs in the cleaning industry or the service industry. i.e serving in shops and fast food industries. Even today it is the same. Walk into any fast food shop in England, even more so in the surrounding counties and the capital, London, I can guarantee that it will be mainly Asian people working in them, whilst most managers still remain white. It's 2011...
My parents left their tropical Island and came to England. My Father was already a certified Mechanic. He later went on to become an Engineer. My Mother came over to study, later becoming a Nurse.
They both met each other in this country and I was born here. I was one of the lucky few I guess, as my parents were hard working. They taught me the value of having a job. "it puts money in your pocket and gives your mind something to do"
By the time I was 16 I had very good "secure" job at the Home Office, I was now a Civil Servant. After 6 years of thoughtless mind numbing paper pushing I decided that the job was not for me.
I'm telling you all this to set the stage for the eruptions that would years later happen in Tottenham North London...
You see it was not the same for every one. Not all families that came over here were successful. Many did not find jobs at all, those that did found themselves on very low wages. There are some families who have never had any jobs at all. They are given income support and benefits from the government. If that is all you can get and you can't find a job and you are never given a chance in life, continuously, this can lead to a culture of depression amongst the young and older minority groups. Specially when the only jobs that are offered to you are that of cleaner, porter-servant! now I'm not making excuses for them here. I'm just telling how it was and how it has always been.
The riots we have recently witnessed however I think goes much, much deeper than we can imagine. There have been disaffected youth for years, and not once did they all decide to go riot and burn and pillage. No this was different. This was orchestrated, agitated and aggravated rioting.
My reasons for thinking this are as follows:
1. The police shooting of Mark Duggan. 04.08.11 Police are reported to of been in a shoot out at Tottenham Hale, North London. Involving Mr Duggan. Early reports by "main stream" media tell us; A police officer has been shot at and the police have shot and killed the man. The Sun "news"paper even tells us that :
"A GUNMAN killed in a shootout with police had texted his girlfriend minutes earlier to say :"the feds are following me."
Suspected gangster Mark Duggan,29, fired a handgun at an armed cop, whose life was saved when the bullet hit his radio.
The officer returned fire with his Heckler & Koch MP5 sub-machine gun - blasting dad-of-five Duggan twice in the face slumping to the ground."
This is obvious sensationalist journalism, it sounds like it was written before the event even took place!
(Mr Duggan's family at this point have not been informed!)
The police officer has been taken to hospital.
(I presume with gun shot wound?)
It is reported by first eye witnesses, at Tottenham Hale that
"two shots were heard fired and a man lay on the ground.."
The police still by this time had not told the family of Mr Duggan what had happened. The police officer has been taken to hospital.
(I presume with gun shot wound?)
It is reported by first eye witnesses, at Tottenham Hale that
"two shots were heard fired and a man lay on the ground.."
Locals who saw the incident were able to identify the man as Mark Duggan. This is why all the main stream media is saying. "Mark Duggan-named locally"
2. Mark Duggan was a popular local man. He had four children and was well known and liked in the area. I believe the police knew what they were doing by choosing this man to "assassinate".
3. Let us also remember that this all took place during the school summer holidays. So there were a lot of young people out of school, bored and moneyless.
4.The day the riots started was 06.08.11 The family of the deceased Mark Duggan, made a peaceful protest outside Tottenham Police station. They asked to speak to a senior Police Officer. The family were left, I think intentionally for five hours, without a word or any member of the Police force going out to speak to them.
Now let us for a second think about how this family must of felt. They hear their son has been shot down by the Police. They are given no account of what has happened all they have heard is what we have all heard in the news.
That to me is disgusting, but also part of their plan. They, I feel, wanted to get the family and also the community angry. To set the stage for civil disobedience, to bring in their new agendas. Curfews and more Police authority and control!
So we have to ask more leading questions.
For example, why have the people of Tottenham not gone this far before?
There are many incidents recorded on YouTube showing us what the Police have been like in Tottenham. They stop and search young and old alike at will and with no reason. This continuously happens to the minority in this country.
Having lived in Tottenham myself. I can tell you with hand on my heart, that the people of Tottenham would NEVER burn down their own community!
I believe "agent provocateurs" were involved. As for the looting it was spontaneously done, the police were told to "stand down and observe" and in a society that dictates material goods show a humans worth. The angry brainwashed youth just did as they were expected to do and they did some looting.
They stole TV's and trainers, things they could not readily afford, yet are told that they are non-people without them. They walked into a trap that had been well set for them.
What started with police violence escalated into a nation wide event. Making it then possible for new laws to be brought in, in fact the people were then calling for police violence to be used!
Police 1 people 0 it would seem at this point.
David Cameron has already given the police new powers, there will be curfews in place soon too I'm sure. People now begging for a police state!
New facts that have since emerged.
- Mr duggan did not fire a gun at the police.
- Only two shots were fired and both at Mr Duggan. One in the chest and one in the arm. He was killed instantly.
- The police officer who was first reported to of been shot, in fact was not. (so why did he go to the hospital then, and which hospital was the police officer treated at, knowing the area I suggest it would of been North Middlesex Hospital. Any reports coming from there saying they treated a police officer?
- We are now told that Mr Duggan is releted to a "crime lord" in Manchester, how true is this. The main stream report tells us that Mr Duggan would regularly go to Manchester to "baby sit" may I suggest that if you lived in Manchester you probably would not choose some one living in Tottenham to "baby sit" for you. Have any of Mr Duggan's family varified this?
